15*450=6750 and12*512=6144 and427*3=1281

6144+1281=7425

7425-6144=675

(675)/6750*100=10%profit

Answer:

he made a profit

Step-by-step explanation:

The total cost price of 15 chairs =$(15 ×450)=$6750

now,

the shopkeeper sold 12chairs at $512 each &3 chairs at $427 each .

therefore,

the total price he got solding 12 chairs =$(12×512)=$6144

the total price he got solding 3 chairs =$(3×427)=$1281

again ,

the total money he had solding the 15 chairs =$(6144+$1281)=$7425

therefore , the selling price is more than cost price it is profit .

profit =selling price-cost price

=$(7425-6750)

=$675

profit %=profit /costprice×100%

=$ 675/6750×100%

=$10%

10% is your answer .
