total no. of copies = 200
loss on total = 5%

cost prise of a copy = Rs 20
total C.P = Rs 4000

S.P = C.P - loss
= 4000 - 5%of 4000
= 4000 - 200
= 3800

selling price of all the copies = Rs 3800
selling price of 1 copy = Rs 19

Hope it helps!!!

aditi143: how 19 has come
surbhi06: selling price of 1 copy = selling price of all ÷ no of copies
surbhi06: 3800 ÷ 200 = 19
aditi143: okkk

cost of one book is Rs.20
cost of 200 books is 20 *200=4000
if loss = 5%
loss=Rs.200
selling price =cost price - loss
                    =Rs.4000-Rs.200
                    =Rs.3800.

aditi143: but the answer is 19
gdriti: oh I am really sorry ,my bad
