The leaf is the food producing part of a producer. It assist the producer in respiration, photosynthesis and so on.

Stomata
In terrestrial producers, the leaves have small, microscopic holes or openings called the Stomata. It helps in breathing. In aquatic producers, the leaves are on the top. In terrestrial producers, Stomata being on the bottom helps the plant to breathe easily. In aquatic plants, the stomato being on top easily absorbes air bubbles.

Pigment
In the leaf, there is a green pigment called Chlorophyll. Chlorophyll gives the green colour to green plants and plays a Vital part in photosynthesis. It absorbs sunlight and produces food alonsgside,  CO_{2} H_{2}O and minerals.

The leaf is one of the most important parts of the producers.
