Given:-

  • Height ,h = 2 m

  • Mass ,m = 45 kg

To Find:-

  • Potential Energy ,PE

Solution:-

As we know that Potential Energy is defined as Energy energy produced in a body by virtue of its position .

And ,also the acceleration due to gravity is 9.8m/s²

PE = mgh

where,

PE is Potential Energy

m is the mass

g is the acceleration due to gravity

h is the height

Substitute the value we get

→ PE = 45 × 9.8 × 2

→ PE = 90 ×9.8

→ PE = 882 J

Therefore,the potential energy is 882 Joules .

Answer:

Explanation:

Given,

Height, h = 2 m

Mass, m = 45 kg

To Find,

Potential energy

Formula to be used,

PE = mgh

Here, PE = Potential energy,

m = Mass,

h = Height and,

g = Acceleration due to gravity i.e 9.8 m/s²

Solution,

Putting all the values, we get

PE = mgh

⇒ PE = 45 × 9.8 × 2

PE = 882 J

Hence, the sled’s potential energy is 882 J.
