A small iron bar is kept near the north pole of a bar magnet. How does the iron bar acquire magnetism ?

Answer:

When an iron bar is placed near a magnet, the magnet shares some of it's properties to the iron bar and it acquires magnetism, but when the magnet is removed the iron bar loses all of it's magnetism and becomes an ordinary iron bar again.
