radius of cylinder R =3.5cm
height H =14cm
radius of the ball r=7/12cm
let n be the number of balls that can be form from the cylinder.
Since the cylinder is recast into the small spherical balls, so n x volume of sphere = volume of cylinder
n4/3 pir^3= piR^2H [ pi get cancelled ]
nx4/3r^3=R^2H
nx4x7x7x7/3x12x12x12= 3.5x 3.5x14
1372n/5184=171.5
n =171.5x5184/1372
n=889056/1372
n=648
hence 648 small balls can be formed by the cylinder.
