Given : A solution contains 30 g of common salt in 350 g of water.

To find : Calculate the concentration of solution?

Applying formula :

1) Mass of solution = Mass of solute + Mass of solvent.

2) Mass percentage = Mass of solute/Mass of solution × 100.

Calculations :

→ Mass of solution = 30 + 350

→ Mass of solution = 380

→ Mass percentage = 30/380 × 100

→ Mass percentage = 0.078 × 100

→ Mass percentage = 7.8%

Therefore, 7.8% is the mass percentage of the solution.
