Answer:

Hye... here is the answer :-

(a) When an object vibrates, it forces the neighbouring particles of the medium to vibrate. These vibrating particles then forces the particles adjacent to them to vibrate. In this way, vibrations produced by an object are transferred from one particle to another till it reaches the ear.

(b) Timbre and pitch are the characteristics of sound which help to identify the sound of different voice. Thus, because of difference in timbre and pitch of the sound wave I or any other can identify the voice of his friend sitting with others even in dark room.

Hope it helped...

Answer:

sound is a wave of vibration which when gets amplified in our ear.

(a) when the bell is strucked by hammer the bell produces some vibrations these vibrations enter our ear and then they tend to make our ear drum vibrate like this there are three bones in our ear (hammer, anvil, and stirrup) these bones tends to amplify the sound hence these sounds reach our brain and then we can detect it.

(b) as in a dark room visibility is very low but we have the capability to remember so as we know the voice of our friend we cn easily recognise him/her.
