Assume first the salary is 100 rupees.  Then spending would be 60 rupees.

Let Salary of A = 100

Spending         = 60

Saving = 40 rupees.

Now new salary     = 100+25      = 125

New expenditure = 60+0.2(60) =   72

New saving                                  =  53.

Original saving = 40

Increase = 53-40 =13

Percent increase = \frac{13}{40} (100) = 32.50%
