Volume of water raised will be equal to the volume of sphere

(let R be the radius of cylinder and r be the radius of sphere, H be the height of the water raised)

π * R square  * H = (4/3) * π  * r raise to power 3

 π * 6 square * H = (4/3) * π * 3 raise to power 3

If we solve the above equations we get H = 1 cm

So water will be raised to 1 cm
