area of square = a²
= 30cm × 30cm
= 900 cm²
therefore, given area of square = area of rectangle = 900 cm²
area of rectangle = length × breadth
= 900 cm²
let breadth be X cm
36 cm × X cm = 900 cm²
X cm = 900 cm² ÷ 36 cm
= 25 cm

Area of square = side × side
= 30 × 30
= 900 sq. cm
But area of square = area of rectangle
Hence,
Area of rectangle = length × breadth
= 36 × breadth
900 = 36 × breadth
breadth = 900 ÷ 36
breadth = 25 cm
