(b). a girl of mass 40 kg is standing on loose sand. if the area of his feet is 0.04 m square. then calculate the pressure exerted by the girl on the sand,( g = 10 m/s square.

a.) 1 Pascal is the amount of pressure exert by a unit force(1N) on an unit area(1m).

b.)mass=40kg
gravity=10m/s
area= 0.04m
pressure= force/ area
=40×10/0.04
=400/0.04
=10000 pascal

Pressure=Force/Area (1)
Force= mg
= 40*10=400
Area=0.04 sqm
Putting values
Pressure=400/0.04
=40000/4
