Heya.......!!!!

___________________________

This question can be easily solved by applying the equation => v^2 = u^2 + 2gh .

Here :-

the body is thrown upward with velocity ' u ' and the ball returns with velocity ' 3u '

• initial velocity = u
• final velocity = 3u

• acceleration due to gravity = g
• Height of the tower = h = ?

=> ( 3u )^2 = u^2 + 2gh
=> 9u^2. = u^2 + 2gh
=> 9u^2 - u^2 = 2gh
=> 8u^2 = 2gh

=> 2gh = 8u^2
=> h = 8u^2 / 2g

=> h = 4u^2 / g

height \:  \:  =  >  \:  \:  \frac{4u {}^{2} }{g}
