A stone of mass 22g is immersed in water completely and the rise in the level of water is 17 ml. What is the density of the stone?

given:

volume=17ml = 17cm³   [1ml =1cm³]

17cm³=0.000017m³   [1 m³=100³ cm³

mass= 22g = 22÷1000 = 0.022kg

so,density=mass÷volume

∴ density of stone=(0.022÷0.000017)kg/m³

                              =1294.117≈1294.12kg/m³
