A store is selling a jacket on sale at 30% off the marked price. A matching pair of pants is on sale at 50% off the marked price. If the marked price of the pants is Rs. 11600 less than the marked price of the jacket and the total sale price of both items is Rs. 14600, then what is the marked price of the jacket?

let Market price of jacket = X ₹
so Market price of pants = X- 11600
so according to Question
X × 70/100 + ( X-11600)× 50/100 = 14600
SO FROM HERE
X = 17000
so price Market price of jacket = 17000

Step-by-step explanation:

if the marked price of jacket is J

and pants is P

p=J-11600

0.7J+0.5(J-11600)=14600

from this J=17000
