hey !!

here is ur answer!!

========================================================

If a student has difficulty in reading a book it mean in he/she is suffering from Far or Long - sightedness (Hypermetropia) ...

Hypermetropia is a condition in which there is difficulty in seeing the near objects..
In this the image of the object falls behind the retina ..

A convex (converging) lens is required to correct it...
( the power of glasses used is mentioned in plus '+')

Hope this helps u!!

Heya!!
Astudent reads a book most probably reads it from a nearer distance. If he can't read the book, it means he can't read or see sentences or things clearly which r at a short distance. So, he have long sight or hypermetropia which means he can see objects at long distance but not those at short distance.
He must use a convex lens to correct it. Look at diagram I gave  to explain it .
In the first image, the image is formed behind the retina. When u use the convex lens , image is formed as in the 2nd picture.
                                                       Hope this helps!!
