A student has focussed the magnified image of a candle flame on the screen using a convex lens. now he gradually moves the candle flame towards the lens and each time focuses the image on the screen. (a) in which direction - towards or away from the lens, does he move the screen each time to focus the flame ? (b) what happen to the size of image-does it increase or decrease? (c) what will he observe on the screen if he moves the candle flame very close to the lens?

geetarawat1517: if the student moves the candle towards the lens how can he focus the image on the screen because the focus length will not be affected if we move the screen . it can only be foccussed if we move the lens and screen both. plz clear my doubt.
