Yeast belongs to the family of Fungi. It reproduces both sexually and asexually. The asexual means of reproduction in yeast is budding.

In budding, small protrusions are formed on the surface of the parent cell, these protrusions are later on constricts from the junction point and then separate as an individual daughter cells.
