There are numerous models of atoms starting from Rutherford till modern age quantum mechanics. The best representation was that of Bohrs atomic model. It described the atom as having a central positively charged core with well defined orbits around it in which electrons revolve with specific angular momentum and energy. However it too failed in an aspect and that is, it disobeyed the heisunberg uncertainty principle. In reality, it's not possible to predict both velocity and position of an electron simultaneously due to which we can't define well shaped path for the electron to move in. Instead we replace them by probabilities of finding an electron in different parts of an atom. This was made possible by the schrodingers wave equation. this new approach is what constitutes modern age quantum mechanics which is the best explanation of an atom and continues to explain various phenomena better than the other primitive atomic models.

Answer:

qAccording to me , Bhor's model of the structure of the atom is correct because

It's states that :-

1) Atom has nucleus in the centre .

2) Electrons revolve around the nucleus.

3) Certain special orbits known as discrete orbits

of electrons , are allowed inside the atom.

4) While revolving in discrete orbits of the

electrons do not radiate energy.

5) Orbits or shells are represented by letters k, l,

M, N, . THANKU HOPES IT WILL HELP YOU
