Alum is a homogeneous solution.

Milk is a colloidal solution.

Soil in water is a suspension.

Transparency: Alum is transparent.

Milk is translucent.

Soil in water is opaque

Stability: Alum is perfectly stable.

Milk is more stable than soil in water but less stable than alum.

Soil in water is not stable.
