a student tried to observe the slide of binary fission in amoeba under a microscope. after focussing on the slide he was not able to get a clear view even after adjusting the diaphragm. suggest 2 possible modes of adjustment of the microscope to get a clear view of the slide.​

1. Try adjusting the fine adjustment screw. It improves the quality and gives a clear view.

2. Change the magnification lens from low power to high power. That helps to zoom in.

ANSWER :

Sometimes it occurs that even after adjusting the diaphragm,we do not get clear view of the object.

The modes of adjustment are :

1. After setting the diaphragm of the microscope carefully, it is suggested to perform the coarse adjustment in which the objective has to be raised up until the object on the slide gets focussed properly.

2. Now we will have to make the focus very sharp. This can be done by fine adjustment of the microscope.
