A suspension is a type of solution in which particles are greater than 10 nanometer and smaller than 100 nanometer.

It scatters a beam of light passing through it. Chalk and Sand particles are between 10 and 100 nanometer. So, it forms a suspension.

After Sometime, Particle in a Suspension settles down at the bottom. Same in a chalk powder solution and Sand in Water Solution, the particles of the chalk and Sand will settle down after some time, when they will be mixed, as shown in the above diagram.

Note : Sand and Chalk both forms the same colloids, So the diagram for both will be the same. Just put their names in the place of colloids in the above diagram.
