Total quantity of petrol used by the taxi driver = 40 + 50 = 90 liters

Cost of 1 liter of petrol = Rs 44
Cost of 90 liters of petrol = 44 x 90 = Rs 3960

Hence, the required amount is Rs 3960

"The total coast of petrol spent by taxi driver is Rs. 3960

Given:

40 liters of petrol on Monday.

50 liters of petrol on next day.

Petrol price Rs. 44 per liter.

To find:

Total cost of petrol filled.

Solution:

Total petrol filled by taxi driver is the sum of “petrol filled during both days”.

Total petrol filled = 40 + 50 = 90 liters

So, total petrol filled by taxi driver is 90 liters.

Cost of 1 liter of petrol = Rs. 44

To find the cost spent multiply total liters and cost of one liter.

Cost of 90 liter of petrol =90 \times 44 = Rs. 3960"
