Answer:Rs 720/-

Step-by-step explanation:Cost price of potato per kg is Rs 24/-

He sold 80 kgs at 50% profit that is (CP +50%) Rs 24 +50%= Rs 36/-

He further sell the balance which is 120kgs - 80kgs = 40kgs at 25% less than cost price .

Therefore the selling price of the balance 40kgs is Rs 24 -25%= Rs 18/-

The selling price of 80 kgs @Rs36 =Rs 2880/-

The selling price of  40 kgs @Rs18=Rs 720/-

Total selling price of 120kgs is Rs 2880+Rs 720=Rs 3600/-

Cost price of 120kgs @24 is Rs2880/-

Selling price - Cost price = Profit

Rs 3600-Rs 2880= Rs 720/-

The profit is Rs 720/-

Answer:

Rs 720 Profit

Step-by-step explanation:

A trader bought 120 kg of potato at 24/kg

Total Cost = 24 * 120 = Rs 2880

80 kg sold at 50 % profit

Selling Price of 80 kg =  80 * ( 24 + (50/100)*24) = 80 * (24 + 12)

= 80 * 36 =  2880 Rs

Balance Potato = 120 - 80 = 40 kg

Selling price of Balance  40 kg = 40 * (24 - (25/100)*24) = 40*(24 - 6)

= 40 * 18

= 720 Rs

Total Selling Price = 2880 + 720 = Rs 3600

Total Profit =  Total Selling Price - Total Cost

=> Total profit = 3600 - 2880 = Rs 720
