When a train has to cross a stationary object, it has to cover a distance equal to its own length.

In this case the distance covered

= 150 m = 3/20 km

speed of train = 50 km/h

50 km is covered in = 60 minutes

1 km is covered in = 60/50 minutes

3/20 km is covered in = 60/50 × 3/20 or 9/50 minutes

= 9/50 ×60 or 10.8 second

Step-by-step explanation:

speed= distance/time

so, time= distance/speed

=> time= 150/50/3

= 150x3/50

= 450/50

=9sec.

hope it will help!
