let length of train be x mts
and length of platform be y mts

speed = distance/time

train passes man standing in 20 sec
now,train length is the distance here
15=x/20
x=300 mts
length of train =300 mts

train passes platform in 36 sec
now,train length+ platform length is distance
300+y/36=15
y+300=36*15
y=540-300
y=240mts
length of platform =240 mts
