.A train starting from rest attains a velocity of 72 km h –1 in 1 minutes. Assuming that the acceleration is uniform, find (i) the acceleration and (ii) the distance travelled by the train for attaining this velocity.​

u = 0

v = 72km/h = 20m/s

T = 60 second

according to 1st equation

v = u+at

20 = 0+60a

a = 20/60

a = 1/3 m/s^2

Distance = S

therefore According to 2nd equation

S = ut+1/2at^2

S = 0 + 1/2*1/3*3600

S = 1800*1/3

S = 600m
