Explanation:

we are given;

u= 0m/s

a= 2m/s²

t= 1 min. =60s

s=?

v=?

I) first we get the distance covered by the train

we know,

s=ut+1/2at²

s=0(60)+1/2(2)(60)²

s=60×60

s=3600 m

II) now we get the maximum velocity attained by train

we know,

v=u+at

=>v=0+2(60)

=>v=120

therefore maximum velocity attained by the train = 120m/s
