Distance = 400m
Time = 10s
Speed = Distance/Time
= 400/10
= 40m/s
Distance in km/h = 40*5/18
= 11.11km/h

The speed in meters per second and kilometers per hour is 72 kilometer per hour and 20 meters per second.

Given that,

A train covers 400 meters in only ten seconds.

We have to find calculate the speed in meters per second and kilometers per hour.

We know that,

Converting 400 m into km

1 m = \frac{1}{1000} km

We get, \frac{400}{1000} = \frac{2}{5} km

Converting 20 s into hours

1 s = \frac{1}{3600}

We get, \frac{20}{3600} = \frac{1}{180} h

We know formula,

Speed = Distance ÷ Time

Speed = \frac{2}{5} ÷ \frac{1}{180}

Speed =72 kilometer per hour.

Speed = 20 miter per second.

Therefore, the speed in meters per second and kilometers per hour is 72 kilometer per hour and 20 meters per second.
