a train travels from station A to station B with a speed of 36 kilometre per hour and returns to A with a speed of 54 kilometre per hour. what is the average speed of the train?

In this case the distance travelled by the train is equal that is from A to B then B to A.
So, the formula we use in such a situation where distance is same to find average speed is,
2v1*v2/v1+v2
So answer will be,
=2x36x54/36+54
=43.2
Average speed is 43.2 km/hr
