A tree breaks due to storm and the broken part bends so that the top of the
tree touches the ground where it makes an angle 30º . The distance between
the foot of the tree to the point where the top touches the ground is 8m. Find
the height of the tree from where it is broken.

Step-by-step explanation:

answer is 14 m .

because ,

they are asking total height of the tree , so

ab/ bc = tan 30° ( because to find total height of tree , we first need sin that is ab , then only we can find total length )

ab/ 8 = tan 30°

ab/ 8= 1/√3

ab= 8√3 m

so we find sun that is ab

we have to find hypotenuse also , so

(8√3 )2 + (8)2 and whole square

13.86 + 64 = 77.86

now take square root for 77.86

√77.86 = 8.823 ( it will continue )

now we have to add sin angle and hypotenuse angle

8√3+ 8.823 = 22.09

so the total height of the tree is 22.09 m

hope it helps .
