Since the rectangle and triangle stands on same Base and between same paralell lines
Base of triangle = Length of rectangle
B = L ------(1)
And, Height of triangle = Width of rectangle
H = b -------(2)
Area of rectangle = 16 cm^2
L *b = 16 cm^2 -------(3)
Area of triangle = (1/2) B*H
= (1/2) L*b ( L= B and b =H)
= 16/2
= 8 cm^2
Base of triangle = Length of rectangle
B = L ------(1)
And, Height of triangle = Width of rectangle
H = b -------(2)
Area of rectangle = 16 cm^2
L *b = 16 cm^2 -------(3)
Area of triangle = (1/2) B*H
= (1/2) L*b ( L= B and b =H)
= 16/2
= 8 cm^2
