A triangular field whose two sides are 8 cm and 15 cm its perimeter is 40 cm then find the area of triangular field

Answer:

1st side (a) = 8cm

2nd side (b) = 15cm

Perimeter = 40cm

Therefore, 3rd side (c) = 40-(8+15) =40-23 = 17cm

Semiperimeter (s) = 40/2 =20cm

By Heron's formula,

Area = √ s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)

=√ 20 (20-8)(20-15)(20-17)

=√ 20×12×5×3

=√3600

= 60cm²
