A uniform ladder of length 10 metre and with 100 kg is kept with its lower end on smooth horizontal floor and the upper end on a smooth vertical wall horizontal string tied tied to the bottom of the ladder keep it in equilibrium find the tension along the string if a man weighing 60 kg goes up by 3 metre in the ladder which is inclined at 30 degree with horizontal .

The tension in the string =39.631

tnwramit1: Ra X AC = W X BE
tnwramit1: Ac/Ab=sin30 then ab is the length of ladder the ac i.e. height of wall is 5
tnwramit1: Ac =5
tnwramit1: Similarly BE = BH cos 30
tnwramit1: BE=4.33
tnwramit1: then put all the values in equ and u get AC
tnwramit1: sorry Ra
tnwramit1: and that is equal to Tension
tnwramit1: this is simple method
tnwramit1: the method used in pic is little complicated so try this
