We can start answering this equation by using,

Torque (T) = Moment of Inertia (I) x Angular acceleration (α)

T = Iα ---------(1)

For this question,

I = (1/12)mL^{2} ; (Use the Moment of Inertia of the rod from one end, not from the middle)

T = mg x (L/2)

We can substitute above results for equation (1),

mg x (L/2) = (1/12)mL^{2} x α

α = 6g/L

α = (6 x 10)/L rads^{-1}

α = 60/L rads^{-1}
