Operating systems offer with numerous variants and versions. They are commonly termed as interfaces and few of them will also offer with similarities. These are a set of programmes or sequences that helps in executing other files and programs of a system.

An operating system also enables us with a lot of features and functionalities. The OS is also responsible for executing all files and devices that are connected to the system. It also helps in identifying these devices by the system.

Using an OS a user can install or uninstall any program to the system apart from this user also makes use of an OS to execute all file types that are saved on the system. The moment an OS operates the system will check with all available devices and files that are to be executed and are connected to the system.

When comparing an OS you need to look into multiple features like the files types supported and devices supported. Apart from this you also need to look into the level of security that is offered by any OS to the system.
