U= 40 km/h =40×5/18=100/9 m/s a=-0.6m/s^2 V=0 m/s S=? Now V^2=u^2+2 as 0=10000/81-2×0.6×s Or 1.2×s=10000/81 S= 10000/(81×1.2) S=10000/97.2 So s= 102.89 ms ( approximately )
