Answer:

cost price  of 12 lemons ( in dollars ) = 25

             therefore , cost price of one lemon(in Rupees) = 25 / 12

hence cost price of 5 lemons = 5*25/12

                                                             =125/12

                                                             =10.416

Selling price of 5 lemons (in Rupees) =  12

Since the S.P of 5 lemons is more than C.P. hence the vendor has gain.

Therefore ,

Gain %  =  S.P - C.P/C.P*100

             =12 - 10.416/10.416*100

       Gain %     = 15.2

Hope this helps you !!!

Step-by-step explanation:

  • cost of 12 lemon =25$
  • in indian currency c.p of lemon = 25/12
  • selling price of 5 lemon 12$
  • in indian currency = 12

_______________________________

so,

cost price of 5 lemon =5×25/12

= 10.41

it is clear there is a gain .

________________________________

gain% = s.p-cp/cp×100

= 12-10.41×100

= 12-10.41/10.21×100

= 15.9%
