Buying price = P for a litre, say
Profit = 30%
Selling price = P + 30P/100 = 1.30 P
buying and selling rates are same. So he sells 1.30 P for 1.30 Litres.
Hence, from one liter of milk bought the vendor mixes, 0.30 Litres of water and makes it 1.30 litres of adulterated milk.
% of water added : 0.30 /1 * 100 = 30%
Profit = 30%
