A well with diameter 3m is dug 14 deep .Earth taken out of it has been spread evenly all around a width of 4m it to form an embankment , find the height of embankment ?

Let height of the embankment =h m.

Volume of embankment=Volume of earth taken out.

π[(4+1.5)^2-(1.5)^2].h=π.(1.5)^2.(14)

(5.5+1.5)(5.5–1.5).h=2.25×14

h =(2.25×14)/(7×4)

h=2.25/2 = 1.125 m. , Answer
