a wire has a resistance of 16 Ohm. it is melted and drawn into a wire of half its length calculate the resistance of the new wire. what is the percentage change in its resistance

The resistance will be reduced by half as resistance and length are directly proportional. The resistance will be reduced by 50%. So the new resistance will be 8 ohm
