Let the volume of one cube be y cubic cm
336 cubes are cut out
336 \times  {y}^{3}  = 140 \times 60 \times 40
 \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  = 336000
 \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  = 336000 \div 336
 {y}^{3}    \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: = 1000

y = 10 \: cm

volume of cuboid=140*60*40
volume of cuboid=336000
vol. of cuboid =336 volume of cubes
336000/336=volume of one cube
1000cm³=volume of the cube
