Given,

Work= 4900 J

m=50 kg

g=-9.8 m/s^2

Since the work is against gravity, potential energy is equal to the work done.

Therefore, P.E.=4900 J

We know,

P.E.=mgh

=>4900=50×(-9.8)h

=>h=4900/{(-9.8)×50}=4900/(-490)

=-10

Therefore height= 10 m
