A work of 98000J is done on a load of mass 100kg to lift to a certain height. Calculate the height through which it is lifted? (g=9.8m/s2)

Substituting all the given values in the formula,

➠ P.E = mgh

➠ 98000 = (100)(9.8)(h)

➠ 98000 = 980h

➠ h = 98000/980

thus, the height through which it is lifted is 100m.
