a) (i)Single bond :- Methane, CH4. They are unreactive therefore they undergoes a substitution reaction along with chlorine in existence of sunlight.
(ii) Double bond :- Ethene, CH2 = CH2. They undergo addition reaction even in the presence of catalyst like nickel .
b) Detergent are nothing but ammonium or sodium salt which having cleansing properties when dipped into water.
Ex:- Sodium n-dodecyl benzene sulphonate( light yellow sand-like solid)
c)Detergents are used as washing agents because they can wash clothes in both soft and hard water, on the other hand soap do not produce lather easily with hard water
