In quadrilateral ABCD, AB=DC and AD= BC. and the side AB and DC are parallel to each other . If the above statement is true then mention answer as 1, else mention 0 if false. Since, the opposite sides of the quadrilateral are equal.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

For the quad ABCD,

AB = CD

AD = BC

If we draw a line segment BD to get two triangles Δ ABC and Δ ACD, we have

AB = CD

AD = CB

AC = CA (common side)

∴, by SSS congruence, Δ ABC ≅ Δ CDA

∴, ∠ BAC = ∠ DCA and similary, ∠ BCA = ∠ DAC

Since, for segments AD and BC, alternate angles are equal, AD ║ BC.
