we also know P=momentum which is the quantity of motion contained in the body.

using (1) and (2) equation.

we get

so,F\alpha m\frac{dv}{dt}...................(3)

we know the derivative of velocity with respect to time is acceleration.

a=\frac{dv}{dt}....................(4)

using (3) and (4) we get

If we assume the proportionality constant is k.Then,

F=kma
