The acidic solution does not show any change.
The basic solution changes red litus to blue.
The neutral solution does not change the colour of any litmus paper.

<b>If three solutions are given to you with a strip of red litmus paper, then dip the red litmus paper in each of the following solutions, because litmus is an indicator. If the colour of the litmus paper changes to blue,on dipping it into any solution, then it is a BASE.If the colour of the solution does not change, then it may be acidic or neutral. To test wether acidic or neutral, you will need a blue litmus paper too.If it changes its colour to red after being dipped, then that solution is acidic and the other one is neutral.
