A leak can empty it in 60 hours.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

Number of hours a cistern with leak can be filled = 15 hours

Number of hours a cistern can be filled with out leak = 12

We need to find the number of hours the leak can empty it.

So, Using the "Time and work", we get that

\dfrac{1}{15}-\dfrac{1}{12}=\dfrac{4-5}{60}=\dfrac{-1}{60}

So, A leak can empty it in 60 hours.
