Explanation:

• Project tiger: It was initiated in 1972, it has contributed to the conservation of tigers but has also contributed the conservation of the entire ecosystem. The project was sponsored by Ministry of Environment Forest and Climate Change.
• Project elephant: It was initiated in 1992, aims at conserving the elephants by developing the scientific and planned management techniques. It was initiated to resolve the mitigation of elephant-human conflict and also to prevent the poaching of elephants and their unnatural deaths.
• In 1972, the Wildlife protection act was developed by government of india to protect sanctuaries, reserves, national parks and communities. Also to prevent the illegal hunting and poaching.
